 Samarium Cobalt (SmCo) is a type of rare earth magnet material that is highly resistant to oxidation, with a higher magnetic strength and temperature resistance than AlNiCo or Ceramic material. These magnets offer the best temperature characteristics of all rare earth magnets and can withstand temperatures up to 300° C. Due to the high cost of the material Samarium, SmCo magnets are used for applications where high temperature and corrosion resistance are critical.
